Short Bio: |
Ronnie Dreyer is an internationally-known astrological consultant, lecturer and teacher based in New York City and the author of several books, columns, articles and book reviews. She lectures extensively for astrology groups & national conferences, and conducts ongoing courses & workshops in Vedic astrology. She co-founded one of the first astrological computer services in Holland where she lived for ten years and was Astro*Carto*Graphy's Dutch distributor. Ronnie was AFAN's secretary from 1992-1998 and is currently its presiding officer. She is editor of the NCGR memberletter. She is on the Board of Directors of ACT. In 1994, she received the Jyotish Kovid award from the Indian Council of Astrological Sciences, and in 1998 received the Jim Lewis Community Service Award from AFAN.

I have a B.A. in English and Theater Arts from the University of New Mexico. Studied astrology privately and attended workshops with many well-known teachers. Studied Vedic Astrology privately in Benares, India with a professor from Sanskrit University. I am astrologically certified by NCGR (C.A. N.C.G.R.) |

By Mail Horoscope Interpretation - A thorough examination of one's emotional, physical, psychological and spiritual strengths and weaknesses in the context of the Western and/or Vedic Horoscopes. Ronnie specializes in but is not limited to the horoscopes of women and their unique issues. I also do electional horoscopes and compatibility charts. I do NOT do horary. Sessions are taped and conducted via the telephone if you are not within the immediate area. If in the New York area, in-person consultations are available and payment is requested at the time of consult.
Sessions are either 1 hour or 90 minutes, and updates are 90 minutes. Fees are based on a sliding scale and are payable in advance if doing a phone consultation. I accept checks and Visa/Master Card. Please email or telephone for appointment.
Private and Group Instruction - I offer private lessons in person, by phone and email, and conducts classes and weekend workshops at both beginning, intermediate and advanced levels. |

Classes Offered: |
My ongoing Vedic Astrology groups began at the basic level with my students not knowing a thing. I feel I have made this complicated subject quite accessible and many of my students can now interpret a Vedic chart without comparing it to the western horoscope. It is very exciting to see that happen. |

A large coffee-table astrology book by Derek and Julia Parker was the first astrology book I ever read and was hooked.
Dane Rudhyar's books explained astrology in a philosophical and poetic way which fascinated me and still does. |
