My favorite astrology book: In 1993, with the Uranus-Neptune conjunction on my midheaven, I read Bob Zoller's translation of Al-Kindi's 9th century Islamic text, On the Stellar Rays, and Anthony Aveni's Conversing with the Planets. Both concern the history of astrology, which has been one of my continuing interests. The first describes a theoretical and metaphysical basis for astrology, and the second introduces cross-cultural astrologies. While neither is astrology per se, both should be of great interest to astrologers who want to know a little more about where we're coming from.
