In a way, it's possible to explain BM's troubles astrologically.
A Cancerians prefer safety and feel great responsibility to others (natural Cancerian 7th house = Capricorn).
While BM's rising sign is Aquarius, he suffers lack of confidence (Pisces in 2nd house). And the 3rd lies in Aries, which is generally connected with energy and strength, but with fears, too, when Mars is found in a weak sign. So, Aries in the 3rd house of traffic doesn't have to mean "Nr. One on the Road" only, but "the fear of accident", too.
With a strong Mars, BM would rather be fearless driver, who compensates his handicaps in the car.
Otherwise, my small astrological "research" of drivers put more focus on the 3rd house than on rising or Sun signs.
And by the way, I'm Scorpio rising and have Aquarius in the 3rd. Driving is the only field, where I'm not a pleasant person; rather opposite.

The study sounds accurate to me.! However, the authors attributed the wrong reason for Geminis having the most accidents. THE REASON IS SIMPLY THAT THEY DRIVE MORE THAN OTHER DRIVERS, AND THEREFORE HAVE MORE OPPORTUNITIES FOR ACCIDENTS!

I'm a Cancerian with Aquarius rising. I notice that neither of these signs were mentioned in your report. However, I do have a friend (also Cancerian) who has been a bus driver for many years.
My general opinion is: Cancerians like to feel safe; and to make others feel safe; if they simply cannot do this behind the wheel, then they will not.
I took driving lessons for 5 years. During this time I failed 12 tests. In spite of my stubborn persistence, I finally admitted defeat and gave up. The trouble was (I think) that I never entirely got over my fear of the car as being a lethal weapon that I had to control. I was always (and still am) afraid of the car. Can you explain this further? |

I love your article! That is so cool! I would never have thought about sun signs in regard to driving style. But it all makes perfect sense and your explanations are wonderful. Being a Sag myself, I particularely enjoyed the inner thoughts of a Taurus and a Scorpio behind the wheel which are signs whose inner workings are more difficult for me to understand.
Thanks for giving me food for thought and I'm sure I'll be thinking about this article allllll the way home, lol.
