Dear Judith,
Just read your new article “Swords & Plowshares” and despite all the struggles and tugs-of-war & -peace, your words inspire hope and courage in the midst of life’s struggles and especially an invitation to look for new ways of seeing the struggles. Your message lights up the connection between the energies of the heavens and earth, again inviting an expansion of perception. Reading your article put Senator Murtha’s courageous outburst into yet one more bright perspective. Thank you for all the passionate effort you obviously put into your work.

As a very strong Aries and Mars ruled individual, I take some exception to your article. I think Mars has the ability to speak truth, point out problem areas and keep very clear boundaries.
Discernment with Mars is like a sword
cutting away that which does not serve and leaving only that which has heart and meaning and living out of it.
Mars has a lot of intent at its most conscious to break down the status quo of denial and rigid thinking patterns. Often we use the energy to make war, not understanding the need to be spiritual warriors, discerning truth and breaking down barriers of silence about abuse and discrimination.Mars has the fire of passion and intense love as part of its wonderful energies.
We have not explored the power and wisdom, focused only on the use of the energy for making war. We cannot see until we open the doors to understand that other options for the use of these energies are present and possible.
The strength of Mars has helped me to survive a descent into the pitts of deep grief and despair, increasing illness and immobility and extreme isolation. I am now stronger and clearer and more than ready to stand in my truth with power within.
I look to the Mars direct time in Tarsus as I have my moon in Tarsus. I know the strength and power of the love expressed through the clarity of Mars energies after the discernement process.
I sometimes think the opposition to Venus is but a way to learn of their similiarities and how each stand in relation to the other.
